D23 2022 has arrived, and after a day filled with the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase and the Disney and Pixar D23 Studio Showcase, Saturday brought us the Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studio Showcase.
The show was packed to the brim with announcements like a trailer for The Mandalorian season 3, Marvel’s Thunderbolts movie lineup, a new trailer for Marvel’s Secret Invasion, and much more. There were MANY announcements during the show, and we’ve rounded up all the biggest moments below to make sure you don’t miss a single one.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Has Arrived: “You’re Not A Mandalorian Anymore”
The first trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 has been revealed and it gives us a first look at the new adventures that Mando and Grogu will unfold in the year 2023. The trailer has the tagline “You are no longer a Mandalorian”. , which was said by The Armorer after learning that Din Djarin had taken off his helmet. We also see the growing conflict between Mando and Bo-Katan as well as Mando and Grogu’s return to Mandalore.
Marvel’s Secret Invasion gets a new D23 trailer
Marvel’s Secret Invasion has received its first trailer AND it has been revealed to the public. In the footage, we see Nick Fury and James Rhodes having a conversation at a bar, and Fury tries to warn Rhodes that the invasion is here. The trailer also features Ben Mendhelson, Martin Freeman, and Olivia Colman.
Marvel’s Thunderbolts confirms its roster of heroes, including The Winter Soldier
Marvel’s Thunderbolts, the next film from Marvel’s supervillian team, will officially see Julia Louis-Dreyfuss’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine lead a team consisting of David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier.
Loki Season 2 gets a first look at D23
Although it only aired behind closed doors, the first footage of Loki’s second season has been revealed and further shows Loki’s return to the TVA offices after the first season. Along with glimpsing a statue of Kang, Slyvie, variants of Loki, and Mobius, it’s also been confirmed that Ke Huy Quan from Everything, Everywhere, Everything At Once will be joining the cast.
New Daredevil: Born Again Details Revealed at D23
We weren’t treated to any footage from Daredevil: Born Again, but it’s been confirmed that the upcoming Disney+ series will have 18 episodes and that, according to star Charlie Cox, it will be “emotional. It’s really, really emotional. “
Star Wars: Andor Trailer Teases Rogue One Prequel Ahead Of Its Three-Episode Premiere On September 21
Star Wars: Andor is set to have its three-episode premiere on Disney+ on September 21 and serve as a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. A new trailer at D23 gave us another look at what we can expect from the new Star Wars adventure, including glimpses of Mon Mothma, Cassian Andor, Saw Gerrera, and more.
Marvels first trailer revealed at D23, bringing all the wonders together
The first trailer for The Marvels was revealed to those in attendance at D23, and it gave us a glimpse of what Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Nick Fury have been up to on Saber Space Station. The film will also pick up where Disney+’s Ms. Marvel left off.
Disney Reveals New Black Panther: Wakanda Forever D23 Trailer: ‘The King Is Dead’
A new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was revealed behind closed doors on D23 and it opens with Angela Bassett’s Queen Ramonda appearing at the UN, saying, “The King is dead. The Black Panther is gone. They lost the protector.”
Indiana Jones 5 unveils its first trailer at D23
Although it has yet to be shown to the public, D23 unveiled the first trailer for Indiana Jones 5 behind closed doors during the presentation from Marvel Studios, Star Wars and 20th Century.
Captain America: New World Order brings back the leader after 14 years
Tim Blake Nelson, who first appeared in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk as The Leader/Samuel Sterns, will return to the MCU after 14 years in 2024’s Captain America: New World Order.
Kevin Feige: Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantamania will tie directly into Avengers: Kang Dynasty
While it’s not too surprising, Marvel director Kevin Feige said Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will serve as a “direct line to Phase 5 and [Avengers:] Kang Dynasty.” We thought Quantumania would be a big deal because it would be Jonathan Majors’ first big screen Kang the Conqueror preview of the villainous MODOK.
Marvel finally confirms a Werewolf By Night Halloween Special at D23, first trailer presented
After months of reports and rumours, Marvel has finally confirmed that their Disney+ Halloween Special is an adaptation of Werewolf By Night. The trailer opens with black-and-white footage reminiscent of a 1940s horror movie, then shows the cast in a spooky mansion and a glimpse of the werewolf, who will be played by Gael Garcia Bernal.
New Avatar: The Way of Water D23 clips show what’s at stake now for Pandora
D23 gave today’s panel audience a sneak peek at some new clips from Avatar: The Way of Water. The clips showed the beautiful world of Pandora, the Na’vi diving and their children playing with fish, Sigourney Weaver’s Kiri recording a video diary, and Na’vi children fighting with Na’vi in Earth Soldier uniforms. .
Although Disney hasn’t shared the clips with the public, it has revealed new concept art for the film.

Star Wars: Ahsoka makes a brief appearance at D23, but no new trailer
Star Wars: Ahsoka was mentioned at D23, but no trailer was revealed to the public. Instead, Disney’s Jon Favreau talked about how to bring this series to life and how Ahsoka’s character is Dave Filoni’s “magnum opus.”
Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 coming in January 2023
Star Wars: The Bad Batch officially returns for its second season on January 4, 2023 and will consist of 16 episodes. Two episodes will air on January 4, and the rest will air weekly. We didn’t get a new trailer at D23, but it shouldn’t be too far off.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Original Shorts Gets First Trailer and Release Date
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, a series of six original stories that focus on Ahsoka, Qui-Gon Jinn, Count Dooku and many others at different points in their lives, has received its first trailer and the new All shorts will debut October 26th.
Marvel’s Echo gets a first trailer
Echo, the upcoming MCU spin-off that will also feature Daredevil and Kingpin, has gotten its first trailer which gives insight into Echo’s past and sees her take on an old friend that we won’t spoil here.
Marvel’s Ironheart First Footage shown at D23
The first footage from Ironheart, Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams-focused MCU solo series, debuted at D23 behind closed doors. The footage showed what appears to be Riri talking to a high-tech necklace, and more of her adventures building things as a student at MIT. We also catch a glimpse of him in his Ironheart armor.
Willow trailer unveiled at D23 ahead of November 30 premiere date, Christian Slater joins the cast
A new trailer for Willow was revealed at D23 and it showed more of the sequel to the classic 1988 film of the same name. Alongside the trailer, it was revealed that Christian Slater would be joining the cast, though we didn’t learn much about his character during the panel.
