Abbey Road Studios have added 2 new recording spaces to their internationally renowned studios in “one of the greatest events in the unique history of Abbey Road Studios”.

The two new additions to the facilities at the award-winning Abbey Road studio open up even more opportunities for artists, making it “accessible to all recording artists, from songwriters and emerging bands to established musicians.” The two new rooms were created from a renovation of the main room of the townhouse and the garage. The new spaces are named “The Gatehouse” and “The Front Room” and are available at more affordable prices compared to their “legendary” Studio One, Two and Three.

The caretaker’s house (photo above) is a modern monitoring studio that includes a multi-surface concert hall and secluded vocal booth as well as a large control room and mixer. Packed with the must-have tech preferred by today’s artists, it’s the perfect space for a small band or vocal group and offers optional vintage equipment packages upon request. The room is suited to accommodate both analog and digital recordings, being optimized for both in its multi-surface live space.

The front bedroom (photo below) meanwhile is perfect for smaller scale recordings. Comprised of a concert hall and a control room, The Front Room has been carefully designed for recording and music production on a smaller scale. The studio has access to Abbey Road’s extensive line-up of speedboats and plug-ins, and optional vintage gear is available on request.

Abbey Road Studios General Manager Isabel Garvey said: “The opening of the new studios is one of the biggest events in the unique history of Abbey Road Studios. It shows our commitment to quality recording, the creative environment and our belief that, combined with our award-winning expertise, we can attract a whole new generation of artists through our doors.

“We are investing in our core business to ensure we maintain Abbey Road as a vibrant recording studio, with the two new studios designed to extend our appeal to a wide range of music creators. With the two new varied spaces, Abbey Road now offers a comprehensive offering of recording spaces with facilities for everything from large orchestral recordings to one-person layering.
