Ethan Tucker and TCMedia Reunite: Studio A Concert Series Launch

Proposed by TCMedia

Othen the non-profit Community Media Center, TCMedia, faced new budget challenges with the loss of their facility subscription this year, they knew it would take more than bake sales and walks to cover their shortfall. Instead, their solution was to use the creative space and talent within their organization: “The Studio A Concert Series”.

“The concerts actually serve multiple purposes,” says Deborah Vinsell, CEO of TCMedia, “we will showcase regional talent to a live studio audience; we will record the concerts for future rebroadcast on TCTV Cable channel 77; and we will raise funds to help support our mission to provide communications resources to the greater Thurston County community.

TCMedia’s “Studio A” is a giant space, used to record events such as contestant forums, children’s film classes, and other community events. The furthest corners of this soundstage are rarely used – all of that will change on Friday, September 23 when the lights come on on local hero, Ethan Tucker. “I’m a storyteller,” Ethan says, “and my songs are personal, so every show is like an adventure. I tell jokes. I try to make people laugh. is very personal, especially the acoustic performance by myself, it’s like hanging out in my living room. And even though there won’t be any couches, Deborah promises it will be a performance to remember.

“Think of Austin City Limits or MTV Unplugged,” says Deobrah, “it will be a similar experience. an incredible local audience.

The limited seating capacity of 72 spectators will make this a different event. “Everyone in the room will have a great view of the stage,” assures Deborah, “and there will be a pre-concert reception with appetizers and a chance to mingle.” Yes, it sounds suspiciously like the ‘old normal’ and that’s part of the appeal – a gathering to enjoy wonderful music and conversation, while benefiting from an important resource – art and media local.

Six years ago, Ethan Tucker captured the nation’s attention as a contestant on The Voice. This week he released the first single from his upcoming album with a title titled Forces. “It’s the start of a new chapter,” says Ethan, “I’ve been working on the album for four years and I’m really excited about it.”

TCMedia is pleased to present Ethan Tucker for this limited engagement on September 23 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person and tables of four can be reserved in advance.
