This isn’t the first time Katie, 44, has hinted at a return to music, as she recently told fans she’s “getting ready” to release a full album.

Reposting a clip of her DJ friend Rick Live as he played some of his old tracks in Ibiza, Katie wrote on Instagram in September: “I’m getting ready to release a new album soon, @iamricklive thanks for your patience”, followed of a love heart emoji.

As a reminder, Katie’s musical career reached new heights in 2005 when she was a finalist in the selection competition to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest.

She missed Javine and the song Touch My Fire, which finished 22nd with 18 points.

The following year, Katie and her then-husband Peter Andre released their collaboration album, A Whole New World.

Katie and Peter recorded the songs at their private recording studio in Surrey after the Mysterious Girl hitmaker was dropped from his label and decided to put his family above his career.

However, the former couple released their joint album and it sold 100,000 copies in the UK, but failed to achieve much success, so Katie and Peter were dropped from the new label, Absolute Marketing and Universal Music Group.

Then, in July 2010, Katie released Free to Love Again, a non-album single.

Speaking about the song’s release at the time, she said, “I’m not a singer, it’s just something I do for fun”. It’s not like I’m worried about getting a chart position or number one, it’s purely for fun. Whether people like it or not, I do.

She loved the music so much that she tried again in 2017, releasing her single I Got U, which failed to make it big.

His most recent attempt was in 2020 with a track called Heartbroken.

So, could her next Christmas song with Scarlett be Katie’s moment?
