Danbury Township Parent-Teacher Group Reverse Draw

Reverse raffle scheduled for November 12

DANBURY TOWNSHIP – The Danbury Parent-Teacher Community Organization, together with the Marblehead Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, are holding their third annual reverse raffle. This is an exciting fundraiser where participants have the chance to win up to $10,000 in cash. Raffles, buffets and a few surprises or others will add to the fun. The event will take place Nov. 12 at St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Tickets to attend can be purchased from a PTCO member, chamber board member, or by calling the chamber office at 419-702-7492.

Money raised at the event will support both organizations.

Special reconnection order in progress for the winter heating season

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Public Utilities Commission has issued Special Reconnection Order (SRO) 2022-23. From October 17 through April 14, 2023, Columbia Gas of Ohio customers can reconnect service or avoid disconnection for the winter heating season for $175 plus a reconnect fee.

Customers taking advantage of the SRO program must establish a payment plan for their outstanding balance. If the service has already been disconnected, reconnecting using SRO requires an additional $36 fee.

Columbia Gas wants customers to know that payment assistance is available to those who need it. For more information on the reconnect special order or available payment plans, call Columbia Gas at 1-800-344-4077.

The Clyde Exchange Club is having a spaghetti dinner

CLYDE — The Clyde Exchange Club will hold its annual Spaghetti Dinner from 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 10 at First United Methodist Church, 510 W. Maple St. It will be drive-thru only.

Dinner will include homemade spaghetti sauce, salad, garlic bread and homemade dessert. The highlight of the meal will be Jeff Lemmon’s delicious secret recipe sauce.

All meals are $8.

Profits from this dinner will be donated to local charities. Tickets are available at the door, from any Clyde Exchange Club member or by calling Jeff Lemmon at 419-547-9825.

Special walking tasting event for the benefit of human society

PORT CLINTON — 1812 Food and Spirits, 2590 E. Sand Road is hosting a walk-in tasting event, a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Ottawa County from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 3. There will be beer, wine and food tastings.

There will be four tables with different food and wine featured. A 50/50 raffle will take place. Live music will be provided by Ron Howard.
