Editor’s Notes: Brooklyn-based screenprinting and design collective LQQK Studio builds on its collaboration with the 2018 Vans by teaming up again with the skate-centric brand for a Holiday 2020 shoe and apparel capsule. Style 17 Mule LX and OG Chukka LX, the collection is ultimately a tribute to workwear.
“We always want to produce items that will outlast trends and fashions,†said Alex Dondero, founder of LQQK Studio. “The use of materials associated with work clothes lends itself to this. There’s a reason Vans are classic and LQQK wants to have the same appeal.
The OG Style 17 Mule LX and OG Chukka LX are each offered in three colourways, both in splash and natural ink, as well as in honeycomb for the Mule and burgundy for the Chukka.
The shoes are complemented by a three-piece clothing capsule, which includes a quarter-zip sweater, sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt with an oversized retro Vans logo.
